Biography



I was born in 1982 in Wrocław. I started playing the bass guitar at the age of fifteen. A year later I started taking tuition given by Andrzej Stagraczyński. Thanks to him I got to know not only various techniques of the bass guitar playing and musical styles, but also I began studying the complex stylings of such jazz/fusion bass players as: Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, John Patitucci, Jeff Berlin, or Marcus Miller, and rock/heavy bass players, above all: Billy Sheehan, Stuart Hamm, Dave Larue and Steve Harris.

At the age of nineteen I graduated from the faculty on the Music Academy of Wrocław, so I gained the knowledge and abilities from the scope of the base of the improvisation and the jazz harmony. Moreover, I studied philosophy at the University of Wrocław. I wrote my Ph.D. thesis on John Locke’s philosophy of language. Attempt of reconstruction at University of Wrocław, and defended my thesis in 2014.

For more than 15 years I have been recording and performing with various artists such as Lost Soul, Elysium, Numen, Infinite Dream, Chaqma, Nasty Crüe, Jacek Telus, Kameesh, Carbonville, Pentagon and many more. I had a pleasure to be a part of recording sessions in the music video too.

In years from 2008 to 2013 I taught at private school music Rock, Blues & Heavy in Wrocław, where I conducted also all-Polish bass workshop. Thanks to this cooperation I had the pleasure to be a part of annual Thanks Jimi Festival organised in Wrocław during which I performed songs of Jimi Hendrix in the company of artists such as: Steve Morse, Ray Wilson, Leszek Cichoński, Marek Raduli, Jarosław Śmietana, Mietek Jurecki, Andrzej Nowak, Marek Piekarczyk and Krzysztof Misiak.

Currently I am a session bass player in Hate. I recorded bass on the album Tremendum, that was released on 5th May by Napalm Records. I am also one half of the founding members of the Wroclaw Trio PPP. With this band we recorded the debut album which will release in autumn of 2017.
